Ecco backpack Review – this backpack is one of my go-to bags and is exceptionally comfortable to wear all day long.
Denmark is the home of minimalism, so it's no wonder that Ecco products are stylish, sleek, and functional. ECCO is one of few manufacturers with its own leather tannery, allowing incredible attention to detail through the crafting process.
They are among the few brands that control their products from start to finish; everything is in-house. They also provide leather for high-end luxury brands.
A few years ago, I sold my expensive bags because they were just too uncomfortable. So many leather handbags are heavy before you put anything in them.
After a day of shopping or vacation, you want something that you don't notice rather than having to keep changing from one shoulder to another due to the weight. Finding a stylish backpack that would work for someone who is an HSP can sometimes be challenging.
PROS
- Soft Leather | Easy Access
- Lightweight with wide straps
- On trend for work or travel
CONS
- Can lose shape if you overpack it
I saw the Ecco backpack in the Ecco store in San Francisco and loved how soft it felt. I love the simplicity of this backpack, the lovely soft leather, and its lightweight.
The straps are wide, which allows the bag to sit more comfortably on your shoulders, and it distributes weight so that I can wear it all day with no issues.
The backpack has one large zippered pocket on the front of the bag, which is great for your keys or phone, and the interior features a zip pocket, two slip-in pockets, and a keyring strap.
I have used the backpack as a daily bag for work for the past year and still love it. You can easily fit an iPad or 8″ x 6″ notebook inside. I had zero sensory issues with this bag, everything is smooth and soft to the touch, and I don't feel weighed down by the end of the day.
Traveling with the Ecco Backpack
I also used it on two European trips and still loved it on my return. I have anxiety about flying even though I travel a lot. Once anxiety kicks in, all my high sensitivities go into over-drive.
Having this happen at the airport is a nightmare. It’s not like the airport isn’t manic, to begin with, but now everything is heightened considerably, and my poor husband is walking around on eggshells. I look like I’m going to explode at any second with all the noise and activity around me.
I’m getting better at controlling it, but it’s still something I deal with every day. When it happens, everything annoys me, what I’m wearing and carrying – all of it.
I hope other HSPs out there go through this as well; not that I want you to be miserable, but it would make me feel better to know I’m not insane. This bag managed to survive all that without me hating it.
It is ideal as a day pack for trips; I would carry a small wallet, my iPhone, a small makeup bag, and a camera would fit if you wished to bring one, but I always use my iPhone. The bag then has lots of room to carry anything I may purchase throughout the day.
From an HSP perspective, this bag is a win-win.
