Cozy Earth Pajamas & Softness
The pajamas are made from premium quality, flattering stretch-knit bamboo-based fabric, renowned for its incredible softness.
The material is crafted using a process that eliminates any roughness. The ultra-smooth surface of the fabric glides against the skin and provides a gentle touch, making them perfect for all HSPs.
Hypoallergenic & Breathable
Anyone with touch sensitivity often has increased sensitivity to allergens or irritants. Yes, HSPs are pretty much sensitive to “everything”.
So, it's good to know that the pajamas are hypoallergenic, as bamboo is naturally resistant to dust mites, mold, and other common allergens.
Also, the breathable nature of the bamboo fabric allows for temperature regulation, so you don't overheat or sweat when you sleep. And, importantly the pajamas are flattering and have a drapey silhouette that resists bunching.
Silky Smooth Seams and Tagless Design:
Cozy Earth pajamas are silky smooth, and I can't feel the seams when I wear them. They also have a tagless design (thank god!), which is amazing as that is one of my worst triggers. The pajamas are also free from harsh chemicals and dyes.
Understanding Touch Sensitivity
Touch sensitivity, also known as tactile defensiveness or sensory processing disorder, is a condition that affects how people perceive and process touch.
People with touch sensitivity have an amplified response to touch sensations.
For me, everything needs to be soft. I experience anxiety from the slightest touch or texture of things I don't like, i.e. rough wool or some microfiber fabrics. It also extends to everything even paper, pens, boxes, cutlery.
On clothing I'm not too fond of tags and seams you can feel. Writing this down makes me sound crazy, but it's something I've managed to keep to myself through the years.
Other people don't need to know why I have to touch everything before I buy it. Or why I have such a dislike for certain things.
However, to keep your sanity, it is important to find soft and comfortable clothing if you have touch sensitivity.
Here are some additional tips for choosing comfortable clothing:
- Choose soft and breathable natural fabrics, such as cotton or bamboo.
- Avoid synthetic materials, such as polyester or nylon, which can irritate the skin.
- Choose loose-fitting clothing that does not restrict movement.
- Avoid clothing with tags, seams, or other features that could irritate the skin.
- Choose clothing with a silky or satin texture, which can feel soothing.
Improved Sleep Quality
So now I am in my cocoon of Cozy Earth bamboo sheets and pajamas, and I love it!
They are expensive but worth every penny as they reduce discomfort and anxiety and create a calming sensation that gives you the perfect sleep environment. I highly recommend it.
While I love Cozy Earth I did find another pair of pajamas that are similar at a cheaper price. The Gap Lenzing Tencel Modal Pajamas. They are a lot cheaper and since Gap items are always on sale, if you wait a bit you can get them at a great price.
I'm happy that there are more and more items in stores now that work for people with high sensitivity. Life is so much better when you have less things to trigger you.
