Snuggly Soft Blanket: The Perfect Way to Keep Warm This Winter

June 1

A Costco soft blanket would not usually be on my list of luxury items or even something I thought I would recommend. But here I am.

Hypersensitivity to touch. When you react more strongly to what touches your skin than the people around you, is this a large part of your life?

  • Do you dislike the feel of fabrics that your friends or family don't mind?
  • Do you dislike tags on clothing?
  • Do you dislike seams in your socks?
  • Do you have problems finding something that fits you just right?

Life can be difficult when you have this trait, and it's also hard to explain to someone who doesn't have it.

Why I Love the Costco Soft Blanket?

When soft blankets became a thing, I was thrilled. For years I thought, why do they make these gorgeous super soft blankets for babies but not adults? In the past five years, retailers have realized that touch sensitivity is real and are making items that work wonderfully for people who have it.

I don't use a top sheet; instead, I use a soft blanket that feels a million times better. So, in this review, know that the blanket is touching my skin directly, which is why I'm not too fond of pilling.

Over the years, I have purchased blankets from different stores that initially felt lovely, but they would pill badly after a few months of washing. When that happened with one blanket, I would carefully follow the washing instructions on the next one. Then as always, the next blanket would pill and not feel great. I concluded that I would have to get a new one every six months.

One day while in the madness of Costco, I saw this plush blanket, and it was only $29 for the queen size, so I thought, that will work. The blanket is heavy-weight with a different texture on each side. One is soft and fluffy, while the other feels more velvet-like. Both sides feel great.

I found I loved the heaviness of the blanket compared to others I purchased. It would not be considered a weighted blanket; it's just a little heavier than other blankets I used. The softness is absolutely lovely. It's cozy, comfortable, and wonderful to retire to after a long day.

I have washed this blanket for the past year, and it still feels like it did when I bought it, which I find amazing. It is the cheapest blanket I purchased and the one that lasted.

I love it so much that I purchased more for the rest of the house and have one extra for myself if I need it in a few years.

The blanket is never in stock anymore in the Costco near me, but you can buy it online in four different colors, blue, gray, dark gray, and white. I purchased only the white, which I thought looked better. I highly recommend this blanket.
